Shaykh Yasir Qadhi

Shaykh Omar Suleiman

Shaykh Omar Suleiman is the kind-hearted, friendly giant from New Orleans, Louisiana. Born and raised in America, Shaykh Omar has a unique way of relating to a western audience though his character has gained the love of people of all ages and backgrounds. As an AlMaghrib instructor, he teaches the popular "Behind the Scenes" seminar which focuses in the strenghtening of the soul and disciplining the nafs.

His journey of seeking knowledge started in 2000 in the United Arab Emirates where he spent a few years at the feet of prestigious scholars such as Shaykh Tariq Ibn Rajah and Amr Al Sheshany. Since then he has sought knowledge and studied under Shaykh Salah As Sawy, Dr Hatem Al Haj, his father in law Shaykh Abul Abed, and Al Allamah Shaykh Omar Al Ashqar (rahimahullah).

Imam Wisam Sharieff

Imam Wisam Sharieff is the founder and director of AQL Online (Advocating Quranic Literacy), an institute focused on educating people and communities on how to read, recite, reflect upon, and retain the Quran. He has taught over 20,000 students worldwide through workshops, traveling seminars, online instruction, and his studies at home and abroad. Imam Wisam is a teacher, a Qari, and a public speaker whose vision is to bring the Book and Message of Allah to people around the world.

Imam Wisam began his Islamic education under Mufti Abdullah Saleem at the Institute of Islamic Education (IIE) in Elgin, Illinois. He then continued at the Quran Academy in Lahore, Pakistan, under the personal guidance of Dr. Israr Ahmed (R), graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic grammar and a minor in Arabic literature. Imam Wisam has studied under scholars in Makkah and in Egypt, and earned his ijazah in the Hafs-an-Asim recitation. He is also a certified radiology technician. In addition to his curriculum development work and teaching responsibilities with AQL, he is studying the varying recitations of the Quran, known as ashara qiraat, with Sheikh Uthman Khan

Shaykh Abu Eesa Niamatullah

Shaykh Abu Eesa Niamatullah is famous for his "real talk", straight-forward attitude, extremely dark sense of humour and above all else, his Pathan kufi. Somehow connected to all four madha-hib through his numerous teachers, Shaykh Abu Eesa (a.k.a the Big Easy or "AE") has a rich grasp on Fiqh and Hadeeth.

Born in London, England, he tracks his roots to the Naser Kheil tribe of the North West Frontier in Pakistan. He studied both Pharmacy and Anthropology at the University of Manchester and later studied Arabic, Islamic Law and the Qur'an with its memorisation from scholars in a diverse array of locations.

Shaykh Ahsan Hanif

Shaykh Ahsan Hanif is the Head of AlMagrhib’s Qur’an and Hadeeth Sciences Department. Born and bred in Birmingham, UK, he is well known in his community as the young Qari who memorised the Qur'an at the tender age of 13 and who delivered regular halaqaat in Birmingham.

He graduated from the Islamic University of Madinah, Faculty of Shari'ah in 2006 with honours. He obtained ijazah in the Qur'an as well as studied under a number of well known scholars, and also recently completed his PhD in Islamic Law from the University of Birmingham.
Known for his unique Britishness, and love for sweet things, he's taken the AlMaghrib world by storm!

Abdul Nasir Jangda

Shaykh Abdul Nasir Jangda

Shaykh Abdul Nasir Jangda is the founder and director of Qalam Institute. He was born and raised in the Dallas area. At the age of 10 he went to Karachi, Pakistan to memorize the Quran. He excelled in his memorization and committed the entire Quran to memory in less than 1 year. He then returned home and continued his school education. After graduating from High School, he went back to Karachi to study the Alim Course at Jamia Binoria. He graduated from the rigorous 7 year program in 2002 at the top of his class and with numerous Ijaazaat (Licenses) in various Islamic Sciences. Along with the Alim Course he concurrently completed a B.A. and M.A. in Arabic from Karachi University. He also obtained a Masters in Islamic Studies from the University of Sindh. He taught Arabic at the University of Texas at Arlington from 2005 to 2007.

He has served as an instructor and curriculum advisor to various Islamic schools and Islamic studies programs. He served as the Imam at the Colleyville Masjid in the Dallas area for 3 years. He is a founding member and chairman of Mansfield Islamic Center. Abdul Nasir is an instructor with Bayyinah Institute, where his class “Meaningful Prayer” has traveled the country. His latest projects include Quran Intensive (a summer program focusing on Arabic grammar and Tafsir), Quranic analysis lectures, Khateeb Training, chronicling of the Prophetic Biography at www.qalaminstitute.org, and personally mentoring and teaching his students.
