Shaykh waleed basyouni

Al-Aqeedah Al-Wasitiyyah by Shaykh Dr. Waleed Basyouni

Delivering an in-depth appreciation of the seminal work, Al- Aqeedah al-Wasitiyyah authored by Shaykh’l-Islam, Ahmad ibn ‘Abd’l-Halim ibn Taymiyyah, Shaykh Waleed Basyouni will impart a well-rounded understanding of the principles of 'aqeedah. Written at the request of a judge in Iraq, this comprehensive summary of the beliefs of Ahlus-Sunnah w'al Jamā'ah is combined with masterful elucidation from Qur'anic verses and authentic Prophetic narrations delivering statements of clarity and precision.

The text concludes with a note on the moral conduct of believers, bridging the relationship between the Islamic beliefs and how they must inherently be embodied as human qualities and characteristics. Shaykh Waleed's knowledge of the subject culminates in the granting of an ijāzah to students tracing back directly to its author.

Tafsīr of Sūrah Fussilat Explained In Depth by Shaykh Abdul Nasir Jangda

“Oh Qur’aysh, I have heard something the likes of which I have never heard before. I swear by God that this is neither poetry nor magic nor the words of a soothsayer.”

Thus spoke ‘Utbah ibn Rabī’ah, a senior figure amongst the Qur’aysh, after hearing the revelation of Sūrah Fussilat to the Prophet (may peace and blessings be upon him).

What was it that made ‘Utbah force his hand to cover the mouth of the Prophet and stop reciting? Why did ‘Utbah return to advise the Qur’aysh, then at the height of its oppression of the believers, to leave the Prophet unhindered in his mission?

The answer is Sūrah Fussilat. And whilst this name decrees a categorical and explicit detailing of its’ contents, it is the other name of this chapter that reveals its majestic tone: Sūrah Hā Mīm Sajdah.

Shaykh Abdul Nasir Jangda’s tafsīr (exegesis) course explains the profound depths of this chapter and its intimate link with other Makkan revelations.

Islamic Political Science by Shaykh Abu Eesa Niamatullah

Politics is controversial at the best of times, but Islamic politics, especially post Arab Spring, is a far more challenging subject. With various entities and parties clashing on the basic areas of the role of Islam in society and government, the responsibility that lies on the shoulders of political leaders and the confusion on what our relationship with them should exactly be, a genuine Islamic understanding is difficult to find.

Shaykh Abu Eesa’s course brings forward the key principles and rulings in Islamic politics and the great amānah (responsibility) that comes with leading people as per the hukm of Allāh. This course will be approached with an explanation of the late Shaykh al-‘Uthaymīn’s commentary to Shaykh’l-Islām ibn Taymiyyah’s masterpiece, al-Siyāsah al-Shar‘īyyah fī Iṣlāh al-Rā‘ī wal-Ra‘īyyah (The Political System In Reforming The Ruler And Citizens).
