How do I take an exam? I am a student who traveled to another city for the class, how do I take my exam? I did not receive my exam grade, how do I request for it? I forgot my password to login. How do I take an exam?Logon onto www.almaghrib.org/exams with your username email and password (same as your almaghrib profile login). Once you login, you will see a list of your upcoming exams. On the exam day the exam link will be available for you take your exam. Please note that you must be enrolled and paid for the class in order to take the exam. If you are a paid student and your exam is not in the list of upcoming exams, please click the link which indicates that your link does not appear.
I am a student who traveled to another city for the class, how do I take my exam?All exams are now online, traveling students take the exam the same way any student would. Simply go onto: www.almaghrib.org/exams. Similarly if you are unable to take your exam, please follow the regular procedure for deferral.
I did not receive my exam grade, how do I request for it?If you have not received your grade for an exam which you have taken, check your “My AlMaghrib” personal account (http://www.almaghrib.org/enroll.php#My_AlMaghrib). If you are unable to login, you can click at “forget password” or call 1-888-ALMAGHRIB (256-2447) and an AlMaghrib Representative will assist you.
If your grade is not in your profile, you may email grades@almaghrib.org and enquire for the exam. Include your full name, name of seminar, and city which you took the seminar.
I forgot my password to login.Click at” forgot password”. If you still encounter problems logging in, call our office 1-888-ALMAGHRIB (256-2447) and an AlMaghrib Representative will assist you. If you are facing this problem on the weekend, you will most likely be contacted the next business day
Who do I contact if I need to defer my exam?If you require a deferral exam, you may request the deferral by logging onto www.almaghrib.org/exams. Under the exam tab, click on “all”, find the exam you would like to defer and click on ‘defer exam’ and follow the procedure. You will receive a confirmation email once your deferral request has been submitted. If your request has been denied, you will be informed by email. You must defer your exam before Wednesday before the actual exam day, before 11:59 PM according to your time zone
Where can I obtain information regarding my exam?All exam information (date, time, and location) can be found at www.almaghrib.org/exam_information.php.
I did not know when the exam was and I missed the exam.AlMaghrib students are responsible for acquiring information regarding the time, date and location of their examination. While this information may be provided on the AlMaghrib forums, Qabeelah Mailing Lists and Class Announcements, the most up-to-date and accurate information can be accessed on the Exam Website at www.almaghrib.org/exam.php.
How long do I have to take my exam if it is deferred?Students must select a deferral date for their exam within fourteen days of the original exam date.
What if I cannot take my exam within 14 days?If you are unable to take the exam within the time frame, email your local exam coordinator explaining your situation and the department will review your request and get back to you with a decision.
What if I missed the exam without requesting a deferral?It is the responsibility of each student to request a deferral through the online exam server prior to the examination date. Failure to do this will usually result in a denied deferral request. Only in clearly unforeseeable circumstances will deferred examinations be accepted.
What if I have another AlMaghrib Seminar the same weekend of the exam?Complete the deferral request and you will be contacted by the Deferral Department. You may also attempt to take the exam as it is available from 9:00 – 21:00 (9:00 PM).
I had an emergency and I missed the exam?AlMaghrib Institute recognizes that, at times, emergencies do occur and may cause a student to miss the scheduled exam. Students in such circumstances should submit a deferral or email your local exam coordinator if you missed the deferral deadline. Please be advised that AlMaghrib may request supporting documentation before requests can be approved.
"I cannot take the exam on the day of the deferral"This problem should not arise because the student has selected the deferral date independently. Deferral dates are firmly fixed. Should any extenuating circumstances arise, please email deferral@almaghrib.org.
I don’t see the link to my Exam?If you do not see your exam link, please fill out the form by clicking at “If your exam does not appear below, please click here”.
I am having technical issues with my exam?If you encounter any technical problems with your exam, please fill out the form by clicking at “if you have any technical issues, please click here”.
I failed my exam and/or I want to improve my exam grade.Students who have received a failing grade on their final examination (less than 70%) and/or would like to improve their current exam grade and wish to pursue a credit, have the option to re-take a different version of the exam for the seminar for an administrative fee of $35/ £17 (GBP). Refer to exam policies for procedure.
I did chose not to take the exam before, how can I take the exam now?Student who would like to pursue a credit for a seminar after missing the exam have the option to a “late exam” for an administrative fee of $75 (US/CND)/ £35 (GBP). Refer to exam policies for procedure.
I did not take a previous exam, how can I take it now?If you missed a previous exam without reason and would like to take the exam, students have the option to take a late-exam for the seminar for an administrative fee of $75. Refer to exam policies for procedure.
I am going for Hajj, when can I take my exam?You are required to fill out deferral form and select the "Hajj" Option as your reason for request. Your exam will then be administered at a later date upon your return. Your exam date will be decided and administered by the Deferral Department.
