UPDATE: “Trials & Tribulations: Overcoming The Obstacles Of Life” – An Emergency Ilminar For Palestine

(UPDATE: Sh Abu Eesa and Dr Reda Bedeir will also be joining the programme!)

Whilst some of us enjoying the abundant blessings in this holy month, many of our family are suffering in unimaginably difficult circumstances such as in Palestine right now.

Everyone faces a challenge some time in their life, some more than others, and succeeding in those challenges often requires us to dig very deep and discover characteristics within ourselves that are meant to shine forth in order to guide our way out.

How will you get aid to Palestine when all ways to get there are blocked? What will the donations be spent on? Please update those who have donated with what is being done to help the needy.

This is from sh Yasir Qadhi on his fb page:

Many of you have asked about how to donate funds to Gaza in our fundraiser. Please log on Sunday and you will be told how to donate. You can log on from anywhere in the world.

I have also had some people question me as to how the funds will reach the people. Islamic Relief is a trusted charity with the highest standards – they have clarified any concerns here:

Bottom line: they are managing to get some medical supplies in right now, and as soon as the siege is lifted and the situation is better, they will rush more supplies. So the notion that some people have of not donating now because of the political situation is really completely wrong (maybe even un-Islamic). Firstly, you will get your reward from Allah for donating. Secondly, the charity is a professional one with field officers in Gaza, and an established supply chain. As soon as the situation betters, they will need a massive influx of supplies, and therefore the funds need to be collected NOW for the relief of the people of Gaza.

Do not let Shaytan tempt you away from donation for such a worthy cause with any excuse. If you don’t give to Islamic Relief or AlMaghrib’s fundraiser, give through another charity.

BOTTOM LINE: ALL OF US WHO CAN AFFORD TO MUST GIVE SOMETHING! It is truly the least we can do.

It is still being edited but we might not be able to release it any time soon, apologies! Regardless, keep an eye on the page because if it is released, it will be here first before anywhere else. Check back here again in 72hrs iA.

  3. Assalamualaikum brothers and sisters, I managed to take down some notes from the Trials & Tribulations webinar and posted it here: http://nabilaljufry.wordpress.com/2014/07/22/38/

The least we could do is to make prayers for them, and make a donation, which helps them for the most basic needs like food, shelter, medicine etc.
